Memories Remembered, Again.

The human brain - what a crazy intelligent thing. Our mind takes in everything we have ever done or said or even seen. Though we may not remember it, our brain holds it. Brains are so complex not even Einstein could begin to understand them; God is a genius.

Lately, I have been remembering things. I believe it's the Lord reminding me of the cool stuff I used to do when I was younger. These are things I would have never remembered on my own. Not to mention, they are spiritual things not every seven year old does.

Memories remembered

One time, when I was seven, I remember picking dandelions and giving them to people I didn't know that I thought were pretty. I guess I was a pretty cool kid.

My small group is reading Crazy Love this year. So far, I have read the preface and a small portion of the first chapter, WOW. I knew it was supposed to be good, but this is really good. It is so thought provoking and challenging. It helped me realize that I miss the point all too much. We are nothing but a breath of wind, yet God has this undying love for us. Mere mortals. I can't wait to get deeper into this book and grow in the Holy Spirit. OOOHHhhhh, excitement.

The Path of the Righteous

I walk this path called the straight and narrow; lately I have been struggling to keep my balance. How easy it would be to go back to my old ways. But no, that is not what I stand for. Fleshly desires are a battle, and patience hasn't always been my strong point. Yet patience has not been my weak point, either. It would be so easy to take the... easy way out. At least, that way looks easy, but it's core tells otherwise. It is truly a war, but my God will pull me through.

I don't even know where to begin with this post. All I feel I must say is of the following: live righteously; love well; smile as often as you can; look on the bright side; and never, never, never give up. For we do not know what tomorrow will bring.

A Post About Complacency

I'll start off with a thought that is continually running through my mind:
Comfort... who needs it?

Neale Donald Walsch once said, "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone." I find so much truth in that statement. There is more truth in that than the fact that there are animals at the zoo.

In order to really please the Lord, I feel that comfort must not be an option. Throw it out. Have complacency in non-complacency. It is not something you are capable of regretting.

2 Timothy 4:7

Something we as followers should all be able to say in the end-

"I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race,
and I have remained faithful."

Yet so few of us can even spend five minutes of our day with the Lord. For me, fair-weathered is out of the question. I don't want to be gagged out of the mouth of the Lord. Sadly enough, so many 'Christians' are perfectly okay with that. The thing I don't understand is that we can be better than this world, so why don't we strive for it?

What has media on Song of Solomon? What has intoxication on the manifestation of the Holy Spirit? I guess what I am trying to get at here is that I will fight the good fight, I will finish the race, and I will remain faithful to the end.
