3-27-11

It sure has been a while. Sorry about that. I have been lacking a LOT of inspiration lately. I suppose school, social, and media have been getting the best of me lately. As far as "Mourning for the Bridegroom" goes, it's a great book. I'm only in the fifth chapter, though. My small group has been moving very slowly. Unfortunately, it is because my group hasn't been reading or showing up like they committed to.

I know it's only spring now, but it sure feels like summer here. Which brings me to mention, my birthday is in a month. That's right, my sweet sixteen. Bask in my sixteenness. I don't really feel like having a party, though. I just want to have a really special night with three really cool people. I like them the best.

I'm fasting facebook for lent this year (Just in case you noticed I was off the radar). Last year it was meat. I must say, facebook is much harder to fast than meat. I have to wake up extra early tomorrow, so I'll go ahead and say, "Goodbye."

P.S.- My birthday is April 25th.
That's right, the day after "
Easter Sunday."
I feel special because of that.

Mourning for the Bridegroom

"We live in the days long drawn out between the two comings of Christ. Our lives and hearts seem suspended between these different periods. It's as if one part of us reaches backward in faith, love, and remembrance to Jesus' first coming while the other part stretches out in expectant hope, desperate longing, and loving desire for His second coming. And because we truly love Him, the present delay puts us in this radical and inescapable tension of heart and soul."

My Knight In Shining Armor

Yes, that's Him. Right there. My husband, and I am His bride. The only man who can truly give me a "Happily Ever After." My King. Did I mention He is great with kids?
